On the evening of March 16, the Turkic Foundation of Brooklyn had the immense honor of hosting an Interfaith Iftar in collaboration with the Interfaith Coalition of Brooklyn. The event was graciously held at the Church of the Nativity, where the spirit of hospitality and unity was deeply felt by all.
The Iftar, the evening meal to break the daily fast during the holy month of Ramadan, became much more than just a dinner. It was a space for heartfelt conversation, laughter, and mutual understanding. Sharing a meal together allowed us to also share our stories, traditions, and dreams for a more connected and compassionate community.
We are especially grateful to our amazing partners who helped make this evening so meaningful:
Church of the Nativity (our generous host)
B’ShERT Temple
East Midwood Jewish Center
Our Lady of Refuge Church
Your support and presence made the evening truly special. This gathering reminded us that, despite our different traditions, we are united by our shared values of kindness, respect, and a deep commitment to community.
Events like these are a testament to the power of interfaith dialogue and friendship. As neighbors and as people of faith, we are stronger when we come together.
