Sacred Stories in Islam and Judaism

Turkish Cultural Center-Syracuse, in collaboration with Temple Concord and North Islamic Community Center held the second event called ‘Sacred Stories in Islam and Judaism’ . Two story tellers, Jim Brule from Temple Concord and Prof. Elliott Bazzano from LeMoyne College explained a specific name of Allah, Cemil. He started the conversation reading the script of Jalaluddin Rumi on which the speakers and the guests give their comments then sharing the messages they understand from it. The event was held at Turkish Cultural Center at Syracuse welcoming more than 40 guests from diverse religious background. Jim Brule also explained the importance of sharing sacred stories from the holly books and asking opinions of the participants with this regard. Guests enjoyed the hospitality at Turkish Cultural Center at Syracuse and the refreshments including Turkish delight.
